Nighttime Metropolis, by all accounts, is a pretty maledict dangerous localise to live. This holds true in 2077, but it sounds like things were somehow even worse back in 2045.

That's when a new tabletop miniatures crippled is solidification, called Cyberpunk Red: Tenderloin. If you're not aware of the meaning of Red, it refers to the clock time pursuing the 4th Corporate War where a nuclear detonation in Nighttime Metropolis leveled half the buildings and inside-out the sky red for several years. Cyberpunk Red is also a pen-and-paper RPG with a streamlined interpretation of the Cyberpunk 2020 rules for weapons, economy, lifepaths, and more.

Cyberpunk Scarlet: Combat Zone is meant to comprise a fast-paced encounter game, where battles are fought in the mostly wide-open section of Dark City where rebuilding afterwards the nuke didn't go so swimmingly. Factions vie for control of the devastated zone, with gangs in the mean game representing Maelstrom and the Tyger Claws, and additive miniature sets available including Combat Zoners, Bozos (a clown-themed gang you will definitely lack to play as), Lawmen, and Generation Red.

"Become the leader of a gang torn from the pages of the Cyberpunk Red RPG and fight down fever-pitched battles OR sweeping campaigns. Fit out your gang, hire your mercs, and material body your street credibility to dominate the hellish rubble of the Combat Zona and egress equally the new master of the streets," reads Combat Zone's page on Kickstarter.

Combat is handled by a flowing system that promises to a greater extent action and less staring at charts and waiting for past people to do stuff. "No rounds, zero turns—the game just goes," said the halt's creators, Monster Fight Club. "As your characters take hits and sustain injured, their abilities degrade—so strike stony and strike high-velocity!"

If you're wondering how a tabletop game with no rounds and atomic number 102 turns works, you can see a 40-infinitesimal video of both beta gameplay right hither. (Pamperer: It absolutely does stimulate rounds and turns.)

Cyberpunk Red: Combat area hit Kickstarter in April, and with a few years left to go it's already easily exceeded its $30,000 goal. It's expected to showtime shipping in April 2022.

Thanks, Polygon !
